Keys? Keys to beating the hapless helpless Jags ? Murph you must be kidding, why didn’t you take the week off and head to St Kits? well I will tell you , because I don’t want to hear Butchie tell me “ This is all your fault dad “ again. After last weeks upset don’t fool yourself into thinking the Niners are a great team they aren’t, it was an upset. And when I didn’t post my keys to winning Butchie blamed me. Not Brady no Ridley not the Hoodie, not our defense, Me. Well I’m not going thru that hell again, so here are my Keys to the Pats winning Sunday
Get in Chad’s Face: the Pats Pass rush has been anemic of late and it showed Sunday night against a rookie QB and a mediocre Niners Receiving corps, timely picks and poor QB competition have made this secondary look better than it is, the Pats needs to confuse Henne make him look for second and third targets and put him on his ASS, there are better wide outs in Jacksonville than there are in San Fran, the Pats cant count on the DB’s to get it done alone, Chandler Jones stay home !!! This D seems to play better without you.
Hey Look MJD: funny how Mr. Jones-Drew is set to make a return this week, the week the entire NFL will have a reason to watch the Jags, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. But I digress, I like to digress. Find the lil midget during the national anthem and don’t lose track of him for a second. Hit him as hard as you can and make him regret getting off that bench.
Ride The Hot Hands: As great as Steven Ridley has been, in the second half of last Sunday nights game we all saw again what TB12 can do when you give him three seconds, the playoffs are right around the corner and I want Brady UP< I want him feeling like he could climb the Prudential building, give him the ball and let him go wild. Brandon Lloyd is finally getting it, looks, touches , the playbook and the idea that yards after the catch mean something around here. In the last two games he has 278 yards and a TD , what do you say we build on that this week. let Tommy tune up this Jags D like a blitzkrieg with Hernandez Welker and Lloyd leading the charge. And then
Get the Run game back on track: Steven Ridley needs to get at least fifteen touches this week, I for one would prefer he gets them with the Pats up big, HUGE in fact, sprinkle in Vereen here and there and use him in the space he can do the most damage with. Take the pressure off the kids, I don’t want him thinking about anything but yardage and hitting holes, that’s the cure for Fumble-Itus, Danny is good to go his ego won’t be bruised if he doesn’t see the field this week.
It has to be said, because well if I don’t they wont: TAKE CARE OF THE DAMN BALL!! Lets not throw downfield to short people being covered by 6’4’’ cornerbacks shall we ? How about we try to wrap our arms around that hunk of leather and not let go. And find it if and when it hits the ground, And Just for giggles, how about a touchback or twelve…
That’s it people that’s what I have for you this week, lets hope it starts a new winning streak that carries the Pats to a Super Bowl.. And Butchie off my back
